Madline A. Lee's arrangement of Adagio for Strings, by Samuel Barber, was created for the Schwob Horns of Columbus State University to be included as part of the ensemble's performance repertoire. Originally composed in 1936, Adagio for Strings has received countless performances and can be heard in a number of films as it used to create a poignant atmosphere or portray scenes of mourning.
